Q. Are transfers included in the fare?

Roundtrip UK Sailings (Southampton to Southampton cruises)

When sailing round trip from the UK, transfers are not included unless you are booked on a Select fare and chose a Coach transfer at the time of booking.

Fly Cruises (Fly Med or Caribbean)

If you have booked flights with P&O Cruises, your return transfers between overseas airport and ship are included.

If you do not have our flights, or if you choose to extend your stay at a destination (independently) so that your flights are no longer ‘as per cruise’, the transfers will not be available. If you wish to explore a destination by choosing one of our hotel stays or land tours, then relevant transfers will be included as part of your booking. 

World Cruise 

For all standard World Cruise bookings, if you have booked flights with P&O Cruises, your return transfers between overseas airport and ship are included.

If you do not have our flights, or if you choose to extend your stay at a destination (independently) so that your flights are no longer ‘as per cruise’, the transfers will not be available. If you wish to explore a destination by choosing one of our hotel stays or land tours, then relevant transfers will be included as part of your booking. 

 

Operational Overnight Stays

On some World Cruise Sectors, flight times may mean that a pre or post cruise overnight stay at a designated hotel is necessary. In these circumstances P&O cruises include the stay in your fare.  Your transfer to and from the hotel is also included. 

If you do not have our flights, or if you choose to extend your stay at a destination (independently) so that your flights are no longer ‘as per cruise’, the operational overnight stay and associated transfers will not be available.   

You will receive welcome letter which will have your transfer details on when you arrive at your hotel.    

 

Hotel Stays and Land Tours

If you have booked a hotel package or land tour with us, transfers will be included between the ship and hotel or vice versa.

If you have booked a hotel package or land tour with us, either our Fly Med or World Cruise programmes, all necessary transfers will be included for either your pre or post cruise option.

  • Airport to Hotel
  • Hotel to Ship
  • Ship to Hotel
  • Hotel to Airport
  • Tour transfers (various) 

Your transfer arrangements from hotel to either port or airport will be notified to you either en route to the hotel, or at the hotel itself. Our Ground Agent at your destination will always make the most appropriate travel arrangements for your departure from the hotel.  It is not possible to be more specific about exact details in advance, as operational considerations (traffic, weather) on the day may take effect.

Guests booking their own flights must ensure they contact P&O with their flight details at least 10 days prior to departure to enable us to arrange a transfer. Guests should also ensure that we are informed of any flight schedule changes so that the transfer is provided at the correct time. If we do not have these details, we cannot guarantee that your transfer will be provided or that you will reach the ship prior to its departure. No refund or compensation will be issued in these cases.

Southampton Hotels

If you are flying into the UK and have booked a pre-cruise hotel stay in Southampton, please ensure your booking shows your correct UK flight arrival information so that our ground agent can meet you at the airport to take you to your hotel.

The hotel to pier transfer will be organised by the hotel itself.

 

Children on transfers

If you are eligible for any complimentary transfer, any children in your travelling group or party within the same booking will also be eligible.  If you require any further information please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0345 355 5111 (Calls cost 3p per minute plus your telephone company’s network access charge) for assistance.

Luggage

Generally, most coaches will accommodate 2 x suitcases/bags (in addition to hand luggage).  As with airlines, restrictions are more likely to apply to weight and number of pieces, rather than specific dimensions, but coaches vary in size and capacity from one destination to another, so it is difficult to give an exact guide.

Luggage transfer to independently booked hotels is not provided. The on board tours manager may be able to arrange this and charge it to your on board account, but this is not a guaranteed service.
